nice to meet you…
By Amber | July 22, 2008

…which I am hoping to do soon, through online conversations, leadership training events, and interactions at church. As Dave Stone mentioned, I am now a member of the GROW groups team here at Bethel. In my role as Communications Coordinator, I will be developing curriculum, updating existing GROW group materials, working with the GROW group team and director, and creating and maintaining strategies for communication with you, the small group leaders.
Since many of you don’t know me yet, I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Amber Bruce. I am married to the incredibly smart and talented Joe Bruce, who gives me all my great ideas. We have two little boys, Asher (age 3) and Reuben (turns 2 in September). Joe and I have been attending Bethel since we moved to the Tri-Cities from the Portland area about three years ago. We quickly joined a small group and soon became members. We started out in the Tuan/Dickhaus group and last year joined the new Wagoner/Munden group when the Tuans and Dickhauses started a group for unbelievers and new believers.
Speaking of groups for new believers, currently my main role is developing a discipleship curriculum for just such a group. For those of you with experience discipling new believers, I’d love to get your input. If you get excited about growing children into mature Christians, be in prayer for this curriculum, me and the GROW group team as we develop it, and especially the groups who will be beta testing it this fall. If you or someone you know is interested in leading one of these groups, contact Kelli Templeton.
P.S. Do you like my picture? Be sure to mention it to Allan Tuan, photographer and Bethel small group leader!
