Phases of Spiritual Growth
By Paul | February 28, 2008
Phase 1: A group member recognizes an unmet biblical expectation.
2: The individual experiences discomfort as he becomes aware of the need for change.
3: The small group leader wisely guides the group member toward change from the inside out, recognizing that what we believe in our innermost being drives our behavior (Ps. 51:6).
4: The small group member decides to do what’s right and good rather than what’s easy.
5: The small group member engages the process of transformation.
6: The leader and other small group members celebrate with the individual who has courageously moved beyond his comfort zone.
7: The individual experiences growth and is more easily motivated to take on the next challenge into which God may call Him.
